Joseph Skruch
Board Member
Joe is a retired business executive. He began his career with the public accounting firm Peat Marwick and later with Constellation Energy where he was a senior financial manager. He first came to Hawai’i in 1991 as part of the company involved in the completion of the Puna Geothermal Venture. He has served on a number of community boards including Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hawai’i, as well as professional organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant. Joe was a member of the East Hawai’i Regional Board from 2013 through 2020, and served as Board Chairman from 2019 to 2020. He has returned as a member of the Board in 2022.
